According to a report from Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a summer bid for Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
The report cites initial claims from France, and suggests the Ligue 1 club are willing to offer Ezequiel Lavezzi as part of the deal in an attempt to push it through.
Lloris has been fantastic for Tottenham this season, the captain playing a vital role in his side’s progression to the Capital One Cup final and their impressive Europa League campaign.
Spurs ultimately fell short in both competitions but their French stopper remains integral and considering he has only recently signed a new long-term contract, any and all rumours linking him with an exit should be taken with a pinch of salt.
The 28-year-old is now contracted to Tottenham until the summer of 2019 and, despite the presence of summer signing Michel Vorm, Lloris has made 36 appearances this season including 27 in the Premier League.
Tottenham may well move for new wide-men in the summer, and left winger Lavezzi could strengthen them in that regard.
But at 29, and with a contract expiring in the summer of 2016, it could be a case of PSG wanting to move their player on rather than sweetening any deal for Lloris with one of their own star names.
