QPR fans slam Steven Caulker on Twitter after Tottenham loss

The former Tottenham Hotspur defender left Queens Park Rangers supporters distraught alongside Rio Ferdinand.

QPR fans slammed Steven Caulker on Twitter following Saturday afternoon’s defeat to Tottenham, after the defender produced a poor display against his former side

QPR signed Caulker from Cardiff City this summer for £8 million, with the 23-year-old showing all the promise of a centre-back who could really help the R’s in their bid to stay in the Premier League.

Fast forward several months, however, and that promise is nowhere to be seen – according to many rather frustrated QPR fans.

It was another former Tottenham man in Sandro that got the west London side back into the game at Loftus Road, scoring a second-half goal to reduce Spurs’ lead to 2-1.

But it proved a mere consolation after defensive errors from QPR – Caulker and Rio Ferdinand the main culprits – allowed Harry Kane the opportunity to initially put Tottenham 2-0 up.

If there’s anyone that doesn’t need any extra help to score at the moment, it’s Kane…

Caulker offered no resistance to the in-form 21-year-old, though, and QPR fans were not best pleased with the defender on social media after the game.

Here’s a selection of what they said about the former Tottenham man, following a defeat that leaves QPR further adrift in the relegation zone…
