Leeds United claimed a 1-0 win over Wigan Athletic at The DW Stadium earlier today, in an important win which helped them climb to 12th in the Championship table.
Both teams also had an interested spectator in attendance - Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Northern Irishman, who has led Liverpool to a fantastic run of form since the turn of the year, was snapped at the ground to take in the Championship fixture during his day off, with a game against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup tomorrow afternoon.
The reason for his visit was probably Sheyi Ojo.
The Wigan winger is on loan at the club from Liverpool.
Rodgers is believed to be a big fan of the 17-year-old, signed from MK Dons in 2011. The hope will be he can follow in the footsteps of Raheem Sterling and Jordon Ibe, by becoming a first-team regular after moving from down south.
The England under-18 international joined Wigan at the start of February, with the hope he could drag them out of their relegation mire. That has not been the case although, individually, he has not performed badly.
He was certainly involved today and posed a threat for Wigan, especially after they went 1-0 down.
Leeds fans however might be concerned. Rodgers was present to see their young midfielder Alex Mowatt put in yet another match-winning performance.
Put the chequebook away Brendan!
