Leeds United travel to Wigan Athletic this weekend for a Championship encounter that could have a significant impact on both sides’ campaigns.

Leeds are looking to build on their mid-week victory against Ipswich Town while Wigan will be hoping to make it three wins in a row as they attempt to win their fight against relegation.

In early team news, the BBC reports that Leeds midfielder Rudy Austin remains side-lined while striker Billy Sharp is being tipped to keep his place ahead of Steve Morison, with the latter on the bench.

As for Wigan, former Leeds skipper Jason Pearce should face his old side but both Grant Holt and Emyr Huws are unavailable.

In other news, young Leeds striker Robbie McDaid has won the Ulster Herald’s Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The news was announced on the publication's official website, with the 18-year-old forward beating some illustrious competition to the award.

His next challenge is to ultimately make his way into Neil Redfearn’s first-team, following in the footsteps of some other very talented youngsters.
