As for Wednesday, they are 11th in the table, 15 points below the playoff places, but they will be aiming for a victory this afternoon to further cement their place in the top half.

Blackpool are without a win in their last seven matches, with only two points coming in that time, while Wednesday will be looking to get back on track after losing to Blackburn last week.

Prior to that they had won two games on the bounce and they will be hoping to make it a double over Blackpool having beaten them 1-0 in the reverse fixture on Boxing Day.

That said, Blackpool are unbeaten in their last three meetings with Wednesday at Bloomfield Road so could they get a much-needed victory this afternoon?
