Dougie Freedman: Nottingham Forest v Middlesbrough will be decided in final 10 minutes

Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough will face each other at the City Ground in the Championship on Saturday.

Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman has told the club’s official website that the match against Middlesbrough will be decided in the final 10 minutes.

Forest will return to Championship action on Saturday when they take on league leaders Middlesbrough at the City Ground.

The Reds will head into the clash on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Charlton Athletic at The Valley, while Middlesbrough returned to winning ways on Tuesday with a 3-0 home win against Millwall.

It promises to be a tight game at the City Ground on Saturday, and Freedman believes that the result will not be clear until the final minutes.

“The game will probably be won between the 80th and 90th minute,” the 40-year-old told Forest’s official website.

“We need to make sure we’re still in the game at that time and that we are the team with the momentum in the last ten, because that will be the key to it.”

Could Dougie Freedman be proved right?

The Championship is a very tough and unpredictable league, but one suspects that the clash at the City Ground will be closely fought.

Both teams will be gunning for the win, and one can expect them to give their all and play with passion until the very end.

The final 10 minutes will be important, as both Forest and Middlesbrough will increase their intensity during that period and sloppy mistakes could be committed.

For Forest to win on Saturday, they need to take the lead, preferably in the opening minutes of the first half.

Last month Leeds United went ahead through Alex Mowatt's deflected shot in the third minute at the Riverside Stadium, and Middlesbrough failed to stage a comeback.
