The former goalkeeper has nothing but praise for the Tottenham Hotspur stopper.
The Tottenham shot stopper has been in fine form once again this season, establishing himself as one of the north London side's foremost stars.
And Wilson has heaped praise on the Spurs man for his heroics in between the sticks this term, while also singling out Chelsea 'keeper Thibaut Courtois.
Arsenal's equivalents - David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny - are good goalkeepers, according to the Gunners icon, but the praise he afforded them did not quite compare to his generous words about Courtois and Tottenham's Lloris.
"The goalkeepers that we have there [at Arsenal] at the moment are really good solid goalkeepers but then you've got to look right across the board and there are two goalkeepers this year that have been truly outstanding.
"The two who stand out are obviously Thibaut Courtois at Chelsea and Hugo Lloris at Tottenham has just been absolutely amazing."
Spurs and Arsenal are currently locked in battle for a place in the Premier League's top four but face further competition from the likes of Liverpool, Southampton and Manchester United.
Should the difference in the race for a Champions League place come down to which goalkeeper can make the most saves, Tottenham may well have the advantage over their north London rivals.
Current Gunners no.1 Ospina, however, has established himself as a fine shot stopper this term. He just hasn't had enough time to prove he is as good as Lloris - who has quite simply dazzled on these shores.
