Tottenham player ratings against Swansea: Danny Rose steals the show

Danny Rose and Jan Vertonghen

Tottenham Hotspur battled their way to a 3-2 victory against Swansea last night.

Tottenham Hotspur reacted well to the League Cup final defeat last weekend against Chelsea with a hard earned win against Swansea last night.

The victory didn’t come in perfect circumstances, as the Swans made things very nervous at White Hart Lane before Mauricio Pochettino’s side pulled through for the victory.

Here are our player ratings for Tottenham’s star.

Lloris – 7

Not his best performance but he still got the big calls right and made an important save at the end of the game.

Walker – 6

Got forward well throughout the game as he always does. Caught out of position on a couple of occasions.

Dier – 6

Solid and showed bags of pace. Concentration dipped at times, but generally a good all round performance.

Vertonghen – 6

Looked rash and uncomposed a couple of times, but showed good leadership skills during periods where the Swans built pressure.

Rose – 8

Superb and one of his best performances for Tottenham. Solid in all areas and provided an assist.

Mason – 7

Seems to be playing with a real spring in his step at the moment. He put his foot on the gas when he needed to and will grow in confidence because of his goal.

Bentaleb – 6

Looked a little way off where he needs to be at the moment. Aggressive and got stuck in but had no real rhythm during the game.

Chadli – 7

The Belgian can be very pleased with his performance and the composure he showed to score under pressure.

Townsend – 7

One of his best performances this season. Took a number of challenges well and utilised his immense pace effectively.

Eriksen – 7

Got involved in some very attractive passages of play over the course of the game. More of the same please.

Kane – 6

Worked hard as he always does but wasn’t able to add to his goal tally.
