The 23-year-old found the target six minutes into the second half, as Spurs went on to win the Premier League clash 3-2 at White Hart Lane.
It was Mason’s first league goal for Spurs, and he was understandably overjoyed with it.
“I'm over the moon to get a goal in the win,” the Englishman told Tottenham’s official website. “It was important that we were bright in second half. We've got great character.”
The Tottenham players did indeed show “great character” as they recovered from Sunday’s defeat to London rivals Chelsea.
Spurs went down 2-0 to the Blues in the final of the League Cup at London’s Wembley Stadium to relinquish their chance of winning a major trophy since 2008.
However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are on track for a top-four finish in the Premier League, and Mason’s goal and his performance against Swansea was hugely important in that aim.

Former Tottenham midfielder Micky Hazard was delighted with the team’s victory against Swansea and praises Mason for his performance.
However, the 55-year-old had one problem, which he highlighted in the following message he posted on social networking site Twitter on Wednesday evening.
Great win but please don't put me through that last 5 mins anymore, good performance and great to see @Ryan_Mason13 scoring and getting MOM— Micky Hazard (@1MickyHazard) March 4, 2015
Tottenham are currently seventh in the Premier League table with 47 points from 27 matches, six points behind fourth-placed Manchester United but with a game in hand.
