The Portuguese international only joined Malaga last year.
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for talented Portuguese winger Ricardo Horta this morning. According to Voetbal International Spurs are ready to swoop for the Malaga winger, with scouts watching the player ahead of a potential summer move.
Tottenham are in need of wingers with Nacer Chadli, Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela all more naturally considered attacking midfielders. Only Andros Townsend can be considered a true wide man at the club - as well as loaned out Aaron Lennon.
Horta is a tricky wide man who had an incredible season last year at Vitoria Setubal in Portugal. After impressing in a league dominated by the players at the likes of Sporting Lisbon, Porto and Benfica he managed to win his first cap for the Portuguese national team in September 2014 - albeit a defeat at the hands of Albania.
That came after his move to Malaga last summer. He signed a deal until 2019 and is still only 20-years-old, so any deal would not be cheap for Spurs.
The former Benfica youth player may not be the big name Tottenham fans would be hoping for, but given the form of the bigger names they have signed in recent years, perhaps the arrival of an unknown quantity would sit well with the Spurs faithful.
If they can convince Malaga to sell.
