Chelsea are reported to have clinched a deal for Cristian Manea, reports GianlucadiMarzio.com.
Manea is a 17-year-old Romanian who had been contracted to FC Viitorul in his homeland.
The report states: "While Chelsea are focused on completing the season well, they have also been able to secure on important player for the future.
"Chelsea will pay His current club Viitorul Constanta about € 3 million."
Manea is a right wing-back, with the potential to play in defence or midfield for Jose Mourinho's side as he develops.
He is already a regular in Viitorul's first team, making 20 appearances this current season, with one assist.
The teenager is already a full international for Romania, making his debut for his national team last May, becoming the youngest ever player to feature for his country.
The owner of Viitorul is none other than renowned former Romanian international and star of the 1994 World Cup, Gheorghe Hagi.
It is expected that Manea would join up with Chelsea in the summer with the transfer window currently closed. A loan deal could be a logical next step, with the Blues previously sending players out to Vitesse Arnhem in Holland among others.
