Forest will take on promotion-hopefuls Middlesbrough at the City Ground in the Championship on Saturday.
The Reds will head into the clash on the back of 2-1 defeat to Charlton Athletic away from home in the league on Tuesday.
It was the Nottingham-based side’s first loss under Freedman, but the manager is confident that his players will bounce back against Middlesbrough.
“Our form has been fantastic and there’s no reason why we can’t go on and do that again,” the 40-year-old told Forest’s official website. “I feel that in this division consistency is the key.
“The consistency was there on Tuesday night but you don’t always get in football what you deserve.
“We didn’t on Tuesday but it’s an opportunity to get that on Saturday against Middlesbrough who are going very well right now.
“They are top of the league and it’s a challenge for us to see how far we’ve come in a short space of time.”
Can Nottingham Forest beat Middlesbrough?
Forest may have lost against Charlton, but their performance was very encouraging and something to build on.
The Reds lost by a single goal against the Addicks at The Valley last time out, and they will certainly be a strong test for Middlesbrough.
Aitor Karanka’s side also returned to winning ways on Tuesday when they got the better of Millwall 3-0 at the Riverside Stadium.
Boro are the current Championship league leaders and they will be backed by many football followers to pick up all three points, but Forest under Freedman are a team who should be feared.
