Liverpool eased past Burnley 2-0 at Anfield in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Liverpool owner John W. Henry’s wife, Linda Pizzuti Henry, has expressed her delight with the team’s victory over Burnley on social networking site Twitter.

The Reds maintained their current run of great form when they got the better of the Clarets 2-0 at Anfield in the Premier League on Wednesday.

England international midfielder Jordan Henderson put Liverpool in the lead just before the half-hour mark when he found the target from 20 yards.

The 24-year-old was involved in Liverpool’s second goal, too, as he put in the cross that striker Daniel Sturridge headed home six minutes into the second half.

The win has lifted Brendan Rodgers’s side back into fifth spot in the Premier League table with 51 points from 28 matches, just two points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

Liverpool are now unbeaten in 12 Premier League matches, and Henry is delighted to see the Reds maintain their momentum.

Liverpool are in truly great form at the moment and look to be on course for a top-four finish in the Premier League for the second season in a row.

Against Burnley, the Reds were the better team and deserved to pick up all three points at Anfield.

The Merseyside outfit had 63% of the possession, took 20 shots of which eight were on target, and had six corners.

On the other hand, Burnley had just 37% of the possession, took nine shots of which only one was on target, and had five corners.
