Liverpool's stand-in captain Jordan Henderson was once the star of the show in last night's win over Burnley.
Not only did he score his second long range effort within in a week during the 2-0 win at Anfield, but he also provided a wonderful delivery to allow Daniel Sturridge to head home his fourth goal of the season, as Henderson put in the kind of performance that Steven Gerrard would have been proud of in his mid-20s.
A lot has been made of Henderson potentially taking over the armband from Gerrard when the 34-year-old departs for LA Galaxy in the summer - even Joey Barton has had a few words to say about him 'trying to be Gerrard'.
But Liverpool fans seem to be enjoying the form the current vice-captain is in. Having played while carrying a slight injury in the win over City at the weekend, you would've forgiven Brendan Rodgers if he decided to give him a breather against Burnley with a big FA Cup quarter-final tie against Blackburn Rovers looming large on Sunday.
Henderson played, and backed up his display from Sunday, along with the team, against the Clarets.
Goals have been something Henderson seems to have wanted to add to his game, and he has now moved onto five for the season in all competitions - but there's little doubt he'll want more. But recent performances suggest his attacking instinct is improving.
A lot of Liverpool fans on twitter, just couldn't help making the odd comparison with Steven Gerrard, as well as pointing out his excellent record as captain so far.
