In Pictures, Henderson's thunderbolt and Sturridge heads home in Liverpool win

Liverpool backed up their win against Manchester City with an equally important victory over Burnley.

Liverpool recorded their four consecutive Premier League victory last night with a 2-0 win over Burnley, to keep them hot on the heels of Arsenal and Manchester United in the battle for the top four places.

Another stunning goal from Jordan Henderson was followed with the Reds stand-in captain providing the ball for Daniel Sturridge to double their advantage.

It means that Liverpool have now gone 12 games unbeaten in the league while Burnley are still in the thick of a relegation fight. Among their squad was Danny Ings who has been strongly linked with a summer move to Anfield but couldn't do anything to prevent the Reds from powering to victory.

They did have a couple of chances but Simon Mignolet's goal was rarely threatened, even if he was called into action to head danger away just outside his own box which caused a clash of heads with Ashley Barnes.
