The Boston based company will produce kit for the club from now on, not Nike.

Yesterday the Daily Record reported that Celtic were on the brink of signing a mega sponsorship deal with American sportswear giants New Balance, regarding their kit manufacturing rights.

Celtic's current deal with Nike ends this summer and New Balance, who recently acquired Warrior, are looking to make their way into the football market.

They have recently released several new boots to top players who have also signed on with the brand, including Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey and Manchester United's Marouane Fellaini.

The same report even showed a kit doing the rounds online as a 'leaked' confirmation of what the players will be wearing next year.

Now it has been confirmed by the club and the brand that the deal is going ahead:

A month ago The Record reported that Celtic were set to sign a 'multi-million pound' deal with the Boston based company, where Celtic have a string fanbase.

Usually synonymous with running gear New Balance have had a boom in recent years and are stepping into the football market, with Liverpool, Stoke and Porto all also signed up to wear the NB brand.

Hopefully it will mean significant investment in the club, which can in turn be seen on the football pitch.
