Chile international forward Sanchez had suffered a dip in form in recent weeks, but he was on song against Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday.
It was the former Barcelona star’s goal in the 69th minute which proved to be the winner, as the Gunners defeated QPR 2-1 at Loftus Road in the Premier League.
Sanchez’s overall performance against Rangers in the London derby was also impressive, as shown in the Opta Stats table below, although the 26-year-old struggled to break free of his markers in the first half.

Wenger was pleased with Sanchez’s display, and highlighted the qualities which make the former Udinese star so special.
“He never gives up and that’s the strength of a good striker as well,” the Frenchman told Arsenal’s official website.
“He’s resilient and I don’t know what happened before because it looked like, for someone who was desperate to score, he could have taken the chance and he waited for somebody.
“After that, the fact that he could still score shows that he has the mental strength to respond.”
Sanchez’s goal and his return to form is massive for Arsenal, who are in a strong position to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.
The Gunners are currently third in the standings with 54 points from 28 matches, just four points behind second-placed Manchester City and one clear of Manchester United, who are fourth.
Arsenal have now won four league matches in a row, and with their star player Sanchez back in form, the fans will expect the team to play even better and continue to pick up wins.
