Southampton's squad have headed abroad as they prepare for a busy end to the season.
Southampton’s players have taken a trip to Switzerland for a three-day break ahead of what will be an intense – and vital – final few months of the season.
Ronald Koeman’s side have exceeded all expectations so far and they currently sit fifth in the Premier League, just one point behind Manchester United.
The Saints ended their goal-drought at St Mary’s on Tuesday evening, when summer signing Sadio Mane scored a late winner against Crystal Palace, and the players have since been photographed on a plane ahead of their trip.
Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse posted the image on his Twitter account, after he had posed with the likes of Fraser Forster, Maya Yoshida and Shane Long.
Koeman recently spoke to the club’s official website about the trip, saying, “Now we have 10 days off, we will go to Switzerland with the whole team, they deserve this rest.”
Next up for Southampton is a clash with Chelsea on March 15 and if they can get something out of that one, they could do a lot more than just dent another side’s title hopes.
