The Chelsea loanee scored his 11th Championship goal of the season.
Middlesbrough got their title chase back on track last night, after a recent wobble. Boro were top of the league before a recent meeting with Leeds United. They lost that game 1-0 and then slipped up against Sheffield Wednesday.
But last night they were in impressive form as they dispatched of relegation candidates Millwall on Teesside. The result means Boro are back at the top of the table, one point ahead of Derby County and Watford, who remain in hot pursuit of the leaders with several others.
Last night's win was made even more enjoyable by the fact it was three strikers who found the back of the net after some recent struggles.
Kike scored the second while Jelle Vossen bagged the third. The first goal was struck in the 26th minute by Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford.
The 21-year-old, who was with Derby County last season, then took to Twitter to celebrate the victory, insisting that was more like the Middlesbrough we have all seen this season.
Bamford has scored 11 goals in the Championship this season in 28 appearances and is looking like one of Chelsea's most exciting young talents.
But if it doesn't work out for him at Chelsea, he can always rely on Boro to be more than happy to take him on board.
