The forward is taking on Crewe for the under-21s this afternoon.
Leeds United take on Ipswich Town this evening in the Championship, as they look to get back on form after two defeats on the bounce against Brighton and Hove Albion and Watford respectively.
Leeds' recent struggles have not been helped by the lack of options to manager Neil Redfearn, who has undergone a squad cutting exercise in the past few months but has been limited in the players he could bring through on loan deals.
With that in mind his squad selections have recently seen a few surprises in recent weeks, including the selection of four strikers on the bench and that of youngster Lewis Walters.
The forward is highly rated at Leeds and Redfearn recently included him in the matchday squad for the defeat v Watford, and he has also travelled with the team to Brighton and Middlesbrough recently.
Tonight though he looks unlikely to be in the Leeds squad for the game against Ipswich Town.
He Tweeted this message earlier today:
Leeds take on Crewe Alexandra in an under-21 game this afternoon and it looks like Walters will play, which ultimately is a better option for his development than sitting on the first-team bench for 90 minutes.
