Southampton ended their goal drought at St Mary's in the Premier League in a huge win for Ronald Koeman's side courtesy of a late Saido Mane strike against Crystal Palace - though you may have to ask questions of goalkeeper Julian Speroni parrying a shot into Mane's path.
They were made to work for it by Alan Pardew's side with the goal coming late on in the game, while the visitors had a penalty appeal waved away for Jose Fonte's challenge on Yannick Bolasie.
The result means the Saints have moved up to fifth place, one point behind Manchester United in fourth, with all of their rivals for a top four place playing this evening. If any of them were to drop points, it would suggest that talk of their season petering out was a little premature, though there will have been a sense of relief by picking up three points against the Eagles.
Palace now sit in 12th place on 30 points with 10 games of their campaign remaining.
