Newcastle United boss John Carver gets the chance to pit his wits against Manchester United as the Red Devils visit St James Park.
In the opposite dugout is former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss Louis van Gaal, who has had a mixed debut season in the Premier League.
The Red Devils sit in fourth position, and know anything less than three points could leave them ending the evening worse off, with Liverpool just two back, and hosting relegation threatened Burnley this evening.
Newcastle currently occupy 11th position in the Premier League, and have shown mixed form since Carver took over from Alan Pardew.
They have won two of their last six games, winning 1-0 at the weekend against Tim Sherwood's Aston Villa.
Manchester United's away form has been poor this season, winning just one of their last six games on the road. The last of these being a 2-1 defeat at Swansea City a fortnight ago.
They have won a total of three away games all season, and have an even goal difference, highlighting their struggles despite such a talented array of attackers.
