Charlton Athletic boss praises Frederic Bulot after match-winning Nottingham Forest performance

Forest were beaten by fellow in form side Charlton in the Championship last night.

Nottingham Forest's recent run of form came to an end last night, as they were defeated by the equally in form Charlton Athletic at The Valley.

A goal from Michail Antonio was no enough for Forest as Charlton won the game 2-1.

However they barely stood a chance considering the performance of one Charlton player. Federic Bulot was outstanding for The Addicks, so good in fact that his boss Guy Luzon claimed it was his best performance in two years.

He told London 24:

“I know Bulot, I think this was his best game in the last two years.”

For Forest the result comes as a massive dent to their emerging play-off hopes. Those ideas seemed extinguished after the poor end of Stuart Pearce's tenure. However they have recently been rekindled by Dougie Freedman. The former Forest striker had led the club to five wins from six with 19 goals scored before last night's defeat.

The plus side to be taken from the game however is that Charlton themselves are in form and had a player who put in an outstanding individual performance.

With 11 games to go, Forest are just 11 points shy of Brentford in the final play-off position. So they will not give up hope just yet.

But one more defeat like this Forest fans can put the dream on hold for another season.
