He has 11 for the club so far and the boss feels his strike rate and ratio is good enough to see him through to the impressive target.
“He's on 11 goals now, and we've got 11 games left. If he keeps scoring every 84th minute, yes we have (got a 20-goal striker),” said Carver.
“He's a typical striker where he had that exceptional season and everything he hit, hit the net. The following season he found it tough.”
If Cisse does make it to 20 goals then the Magpies stand a great chance of breaking into the top eight by the end of the season.
He’ll need a bit of luck along the way but if he pulls it off, it will do his confidence the world of good.

If Carver can get the balance right and if the creativity flows through the team, there’s no reason he shouldn’t get there.
