Carlos Cuellar reacts on Twitter to Aston Villa win

Former Aston Villa fans favourite is now very much a supporter himself.

Former Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar showed he still has a soft spot for his former club as he celebrated their win over West Brom via Twitter.

The Spaniard sent messages out when Gabby Agbonlahor struck their opener, and after Christian Benteke scored a last minute penalty to win the game after Saido Berahino had draw the Baggies level.

Cuellar, 33, signed for Villa from Rangers in 2008, becoming a regular at the club, seeing out a four-year contract before joining Sunderland on a free transfer.

He left the Black Cats last summer, signing for Championship side Norwich City, although he has only made seven appearances.

Norwich are riding high in the table, having ascended to the play offs under new boss Alex Neil. Cuellar's contract expires at the end of the season, so even if the Canaries do get promoted and Villa stay up, there is no guarantee he would be in line for a reunion with his old team who he clearly still bears a lot of sentiment for.
