Former Aston Villa goalkeeper Mark Bosnich never wants the club to experience another season like the current one.
Villa finally registered an important win after a last minute penalty from Christian Benteke against West Brom last night.
The result moved the side out of the bottom three and hopefully they will stay over the rest of the season and Bosnich feels they need to get serious this summer.
“They need to sit down in the summer and make sure this doesn’t happen again. You can only roll the dice and take that chance once.”
“The most important thing for Aston Villa is to stay in the Premier League – There are no easy games left.”
Villa have a brief rest from the Premier League this weekend when they host West Brom again in the FA Cup.
It will be a different game and Tim Sherwood could encourage his side to play with a more open and attacking style.
However, Bosnich is right to suggest that the Premier League is the priority and the games coming up for the side are difficult.
Villa play Sunderland, Swansea, Manchester United and Tottenham in their next four games, which is a difficult run they need to fight their way through as they compete to stay away from the bottom three.
There are winnable games after those fixtures, but Sherwood will be keen for the side to pick up points and make the most of the momentum they have created for themselves.
