Norwich v Wigan predicted lineups and match preview

Norwich City head into their match against Wigan Atheltic knowing a win could lift them back into third place.

To be played on Wednesday 4th March 2015 at 19:45. Venue: Carrow Road, Norwich

Odds: Norwich 8/15, Draw 3/1, Wigan 6/1

The Canaries won all five of their games in February and got March off to a winning start, beating local rivals Ipswich Town 2-0 at Carrow Road.

The visitors have had contrasting fortunes this calendar year, winning only twice in 10 games, although a vital win against fellow strugglers Blackpool has given Wigan a glimmer of hope if they are to cut back the nine-point deficit between themselves and Rotherham.

The Latics have never won at Carrow Road in their three league attempts whilst a fifth minute Jonny Howson goal was enough to separate the sides earlier in the season at the DW Stadium.

Bradley Johnson is one of Norwich’s in-form players and could pose the Wigan backline a major threat along with Lewis Grabban, who has also been amongst the goals with the Canaries scoring at least two goals in their previous six games.

Alex Neil is without Alexander Tettey for the game after he received his 10th yellow card of the season against Ipswich, whilst Cameron Jerome is fit to play after coming off in the same game.

Scott Carson is likely to retain his place in the Latics goal after coming back from injury in the 3-1 victory against Blackpool.
