Yevhen Konoplyanka is out of contract in the summer and could be Premier League-bound on the basis of this sensational goal for Dnipro.
A name forever linked with a move to English shores, Yevhen Konoplyanka looks likely to make Premier League dreams a reality this summer, with the 25-year-old set to become a free agent.
Liverpool and Tottenham have reportedly been battling it out for the Dnipro winger for some time, with both the Express and Daily Star claiming that the two clubs are set to go head-to-head for the Ukrainian.
But with the end of the season still several months off, at present Konoplyanka appears to be concentrating on the very thing that first saw him catch the attentions of several Premier League outfits – scoring sensational goals.
The 25-year-old was at it again this week, netting the opening goal in Dnipro’s 5-0 victory over Volyn in the Ukrainian Premier League.
It was a move that showcased all of Konoplyanka’s much-celebrated attributes – pace, skill and vision – and is likely to have only enhanced his reputation as one of Europe’s brightest emerging stars with the midfielder beating three opponents before finishing with style.
A Dnipro player since joining the club as a 16-year-old back in 2006, the winger has made over 150 appearances for the first-team, scoring 33 goals in the process.
Capped 40 times by Ukraine, Konoplyanka has also netted eight times for the national side including a goal against England at Wembley in a 1-1 draw in September 2012.
Premier League fans could get a closer look at the midfielder from next season onwards.
