Michael Owen has predicted in his Betvictor.com column that Tottenham Hotspur will win against Swansea City today.
“Mauricio Pochettino’s side need to bounce back from Sunday’s cup final defeat and have a very winnable fixture to help them do just that when welcoming Swansea to White Hart Lane,” the 35-year-old wrote on Betvictor.com.
“Garry Monk’s side are another efficient and well-organised side however Spurs can just nick it to keep alive their faint hopes of a top four finish.”
Could Michael Owen’s prediction come true?
Tottenham are the better team, but their form has dipped in recent weeks and they cannot be complacent today.
The North London outfit will head into today’s encounter on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Premier League rivals Chelsea in Sunday’s League Cup final at Wembley Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side last won a competitive game on February 10, but they should be able to pick up all three points against Swansea.
Spurs have shown time and time again this season that they can recover from disappointments, and one suspects that they will do the same today.
Swansea will not be easy pushovers, though, but Garry Monk’s side will probably have to return to Wales disappointed.
