Neil Redfearn has been speaking about two of his strikers ahead of Leeds United's next match.
Leeds United do not have to wait long to put the disappointment of their 3-2 defeat to Watford behind them, with Neil Redfearn’s side welcoming Ipswich Town to Elland Road on Wednesday evening.
The former returned to the starting line-up against Watford and quickly took advantage of the chance to score Leeds’ opening goal.
While Sharp could not ultimately fire his side to victory, he put in a good performance against the Hornets and that is something his manager recognised.
“Not only did he score on Saturday, he played well,” Redfearn said of Sharp. “That’s all you can ask of players.”
The manager also confirmed that Morison was back in contention having returned to training, but it would be a surprise if a player who has failed to score in the league this season is picked ahead of Sharp considering the latter’s most recent showing.
The younger of the two forwards has scored twice in his last three appearances for Leeds so surely he deserves a prolonged run in his natural position.
Redfearn says Steve Morison is "in contention" to return tomorrow night against Ipswich after being back in training today. #lufc— Leeds United FC (@LUFC) March 3, 2015
