Phil Jones identifies Moussa Sissoko as Newcastle's biggest threat

Newcastle face Manchester United in the Premier League at St James's Park tomorrow.

Manchester United defender Phil Jones has identified Newcastle United's Moussa Sissoko as the main threat ahead of the two side's meeting at St James's Park tomorrow evening.

Man United go in search of just their fourth away win in the Premier League this season, while Newcastle are looking for back-to-back wins for the first time under caretaker boss John Carver.

Jones told MUTV: "I think Sissoko is a big player for them. He's a powerful runner, very aggressive and strong - he is probably their main man."

Sissoko seem to be highly rated by many fellow professionals and figures within the Premier League having been linked with a move away from Tyneside recently. His pace and dynamism from midfield can cause several side problems, as well as his end product, so there is probably little wonder that Jones is expecting a difficult game against him.

Jones has also been revealing how he and his teammates will be preparing for the game, as they look to repeat last season's thrashing in the North East, one of few impressive displays under David Moyes last season.

The defender added: "We'll also be shown clips [from last season's match] on what was good about our performance and how we can improve. We dominated that game without being in the best of form. We went there and played well and won 4-0. Hopefully we can have a repeat of that."

A win for the visitors would be welcome for their pursuit of a place in next season's Champions League, while a win for Carver's side could be a feather in the cap for the Caretaker boss, and boost his chances of taking over on a full-time basis from the start of next season.
