Confirmed: Brighton v Derby County lineups

Amex Stadium Brighton 2

Here are the confirmed teams for Brighton against Derby this evening.

Brighton have a decent cushion over the bottom three in the Championship as things stand, but they will want to try and make themselves feel even more comfortable by the end of this evening. Brighton face a very difficult challenge against a big club in Derby, but they can take heart from the way they played against Leeds United at home recently. A win could move the side up three places in the table by the end of the night, if other results go their way in other important Championship games.

Derby are under pressure for several reasons, with the main one being the fact they’re top of the table and will be keen to defend their position. The Rams are a target for every side they play against at the moment and Steve McClaren should be determined to try and use that to his team’s advantage. Preparation for this game has been far from ideal because of an injury to Darren Bent in the last match. It will be interesting to see how the attack shapes up and copes without him.
