Middlesbrough v Millwall predicted lineups and match preview

Middlesbrough have the opportunity to consolidate their position in the top two when they face Millwall at The Riverside.

To be played on Tuesday 3rd March 2015 at 19:45. Venue: Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough

Odds: Middlesbrough 4/9, Draw 7/2, Millwall 15/2

Both sides go into the game having lost at the weekend and needing the three points to aid them in their aims at opposite ends of the table.

The Lions have suffered recently, unable to find in a win in their last four games, and only winning twice in their last ten outings. Already six points behind nearest team Rotherham, Ian Holloway needs his team to start picking up points, although the Championship’s second-placed side will be a tough place to start.

But history is on the side of the away team who have not lost this fixture since the 1994/95 season, winning three of the last four and drawing one.

Aitor Karanka’s outfit hammered the Lions 5-1 earlier in the season and will be hoping for a repeat performance in what is an important game for both sides with one aiming for promotion and the other avoiding relegation.

Millwall could be without Diego Fabbrini who was subbed off in the last game, while Gary Taylor Fletcher is a slight doubt after sustaining a head wound in the same match.

Karanka has no new injury worries going into the game but is still without long-term absentees Daniel Ayala, Damia and Rhys Williams.
