Neil Redfearn has hailed Rodolph Austin's form for Leeds United over recent weeks on the club's official site, after the midfielder netted a belter in a 3-2 defeat to Watford last weekend.
Austin volleyed in a screamer against the Hornets and even though his performance did not stop the Whites from slipping to a defeat he still caught the eye of his manager.
Leeds have been in fine form since the turn of the year - accelerating up the Championship at a rapid rate - and Redfearn was not playing down the importance of the Jamaican international in their turn around.
"He epitomises everything that’s good in the game," Redfearn said. "He works hard, he gives you his maximum every game. He’s been a real feature for us recently."
Despite Austin's good form, Leeds fans still remain divided in their opinions on the powerful midfielder.
Many Whites supporters suggest that he is the driving force behind their team, whilst others bemoan his lack of consistency and technical ability.
And, even though his current manager appears a fan, his future at Elland Road is far from secure as a result of the club's financial problems.
Austin's current contract expires in the summer and there has been no new deal put on the table for him to sign.
His departure would cause a mixed reaction from Leeds fans, but Redfearn would certainly call it a big loss - considering his very public praise of the 29-year-old this week.
