Birmingham City have signed Robert Tesche from Nottingham Forest on loan.
The 27-year-old German was a summer signing from Hamburg made on a free transfer by former boss Stuart Pearce.
He had fallen out of favour under new manager Dougie Freedman after Pearce was fired earlier this year after a poor run of results.
Tesche has made 18 Championship starts for Forest, scoring two goals and providing two assists, one of which came in the East Midlands win over Derby County.
His last game came in the 1-0 defeat against Millwall on January 31st, and he has not played a single minute since.
Forest currently sit in ninth in the Championship on 50 points, with Tesche's new side Birmingham in 13th on 42.
Manager Dougie Freedman had responded to speculation over Tesche's future just days earlier, telling the Nottingham Post that he could still have a future at the club despite not having been part of his plans.
Tesche is out of contract this summer, although as the report states, Forest have an option in his current deal to extend it for another 12 months.
