Ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Micky Hazard hits out at Arsenal fans

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Micky Hazard did not appreciate some of the messages he got from the Arsenal supporters on Sunday.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Micky Hazard has hit out at Arsenal fans on social networking site Twitter.

The 55-year-old was the subject of abuse on Twitter following Spurs’ 2-0 defeat to Chelsea in the final of the League Cup on Sunday.

Arsenal and Tottenham are fierce North London rivals, and the latter’s loss at Wembley Stadium understandably pleased the Gunners fans.

However, some supporters took their joy a bit too far and sent rather unsavoury messages to Hazard on Twitter.

The Englishman, who is quite active on Twitter, did not like the way he was being treated by the Arsenal supporters on social media and posted the following message on Sunday night.

However, on Monday morning, Hazard urged the Tottenham fans not to judge all of the Arsenal supporters in a bad light.

As with every club, not all fans are vile and want to pick up fights, but unfortunately, there are always some who take football rivalries a bit too far.

Tottenham are currently seventh in the Premier League table with 44 points from 26 matches, while Arsenal are third with 51 points from 27 games.
