Derby fans express fears on Twitter after Darren Bent injury confirmed

Derby County West Stand

Derby County supporters are disappointed that on-loan Aston Villa forward Darren Bent has been ruled out with injury.

Derby County supporters are beginning to question whether injury problems will cost them automatic promotion, with the Championship promotion race hotting up.

The Rams currently lead England's second tier, but the likes of Middlesbrough, Bournemouth and Watford are all hot on their heels and concerns are starting to emerge as injuries build up at the iPro Stadium.

Derby have key players such as Chris Martin, John Eustace and George Thorne on the treatment table and the news that Darren Bent is set to join them today has not gone down well.

Bent has been ruled out for four weeks with a hamstring injury, according to a report in the Derby Telegraph, and it means that there is a question over where the goals are going to come from.

Bent has notched seven goals in 10 games for Derby since arriving on loan from Aston Villa, and with Martin also out it means that other members of their squad will have to raise their performance levels.

Derby still have the likes of Jamie Ward and Johnny Russell available to them, but both prefer to play on a wing rather than as the central striker and their title bid may hinge on how well they can perform out of position until the return of Bent.

Here is the best reaction from Derby fans on social media site Twitter to Bent's injury.
