Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas helped Chelsea win the League Cup final 2-0 against Tottenham Hotspur at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Cesc Fabregas won his first trophy as a Chelsea player on Sunday when he helped them win the League Cup.

The Spain international returned to the Premier League in the summer of 2014, joining Chelsea after spending three years with Spanish giants Barcelona.

Fabregas made his name at North London outfit Arsenal, for whom he played between 2003 and 2011.

The 27-year-old established himself as a world-class midfielder during his time at the Emirates Stadium, but he could only win two major trophies with the Gunners: the FA Community Shield in 2004 and the FA Cup in 2005.

At Arsenal, Fabregas came close to winning big titles on many occasions. Arsene Wenger’s side finished runners-up in the Champions League in 2006, the Premier League in 2005, the League Cup in 2007 and 2011, and the FA Community Shield in 2005.

Fabregas has been at Chelsea for less than a year, but he has already won one major trophy. The Blues are also favourites to win the Premier League this season, while a Champions League triumph is also possible.

The Spaniard has been a key player for the Blues and has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League this season.

The 2010 World Cup winner has scored two goals and created 67 chances in 23 Premier League appearances, while having a pass accuracy of 87% and winning 47% of the duels.

Following Chelsea’s League Cup final win against Tottenham Hotspur at London's Wembley Stadium on Sunday, Arsenal fans took to social networking site Twitter to have their say on Fabregas winning a major trophy with their London rivals.
