Tottenham fans excited and confident on Twitter ahead of cup final

The North London club face Chelsea at Wembley today, with the White Hart Lane faithful taking to social media in the build-up.

Tottenham’s last piece of silverware came back in 2008, when the North London club beat Chelsea 2-1 a Wembley, with Jonathan Woodgate heeding home in extra time to become an unlikely hero.

Today, the White Hart Lane faithful will hope for a repeat performance and result as the London rivals go head-to-head once more in the Capital One Cup final.

Spurs were eliminated from the Europa League on Thursday night by Fiorentina in Italy but all that will be forgotten if Mauricio Pochettino’s men can beat the Blues and win the trophy today.

The last time the sides met Tottenham recorded an excellent 5-3 win on home soil in the Premier League, with Harry Kane inspiring his side to victory on New Year’s Day with two goals.

The Spurs supporters are hopeful of a similar result today, although the West Londoners have edged most of the encounters between the sides over the last 10 years.

With an army of Tottenham fans heading to the big game, here are the best tweets this morning ahead of a date with destiny at Wembley.
