Stoke City crock Bojan Krkic congratulates team on win, reserves special praise for Peter Crouch

Peter Crouch scored the only goal of a 1-0 win against Hull City.

Stoke City defeated Hull City yesterday thanks to a solitary headed effort from Peter Crouch, who has now scored the joint highest amount of headers in Premier League history.

The win and performance from Crouch, who scored just moments after coming on as a substitute, caught the attention of a current Stoke City crock.

Talented Spaniard Bojan joined the club in the summer from Barcelona and had been in great form in the weeks leading up to his injury blow. After a tough period since breaking onto the scene with Barca in 2007 it finally looked like he was on his way back to his best form.

Unfortunately, the Spaniard suffered serious knee ligament damage during an FA Cup clash with Rochdale earlier this year and underwent surgery in Barcelona two weeks ago, where he currently remains and will begin his recuperation in the coming months.

But he was happy to see his team-mate net in typical style yesterday and for his team to pick up yet another three points.,

He Tweeted:

Stoke are without Bojan for the rest of the season and he also faces a race against time to be fit for next term. But at least they look capable of coping without him for the rest of the season, as they currently sit tenth in the Premier League - well clear of the relegation dogfight.
