Can Keane become a fan favourite at Sheffield Wednesday?
The Owls have struggled for goals all season but both of their strikers found the net in this game. Atdhe Nuhiu scored in the 52nd minute before loanee Will Keane scored just two minutes later.
His performance really caught the eye for the Yorkshire side.
He arrived at the club at the end of January on loan from Manchester United and has slowly found his feet at the club. He has now scored three goals in eight games.
Wednesday boss Stuart Gray is very pleased with the performances of the striker, telling Dom Howson of the Sheffield Star how impressed he has been with the Manchester United loanee:
1/2 On Will Keane, Gray said: "It wasn't a fluke that goal he got today. He anticipated it would come off the post and he gambled... #SWFC— Dom Howson (@domhowson) February 28, 2015
"...That's why he's going to be a top player and is at a top club in Manchester United. Will's got a good footballing brain." #SWFC— Dom Howson (@domhowson) February 28, 2015
The England under-21 international has struggled at his previous loan clubs. He failed to find the net at both Wigan Athletic and QPR in recent times, so to be on three goals for Wednesday already will certainly sit well with the player.
He is unlikely to become a first-team regular at United with James Wilson now coming through the ranks. Wednesday fans and their boss will happily take him off their hands.
