Nottingham Forest continued their recent run of good form with a 3-0 victory over Reading away from home in the Championship on Saturday.
Ben Osborn put the Reds in the lead at the Madejski Stadium with a superb long-range strike in the opening minutes of the second half, and Matty Fryatt doubled the advantage in the 70th minute.
Gary Gardner wrapped up the three points for the Reds 10 minutes from time when he found the target from distance.
The win against Reading was Forest’s fifth in six Championship games under manager Dougie Freedman, who replaced the sacked Stuart Pearce at the City Ground last month.
Thanks to the victory over the Royals, the Nottingham-based outfit are now ninth in the Championship table with 50 points from 34 matches, 10 points behind sixth-placed Ipswich Town.
Over 2000 Forest fans travelled to Reading for the game on Saturday, and they returned home happy and full of optimism for the future.
