The pair have never faced each other in a competitive fixture.

Today saw Manchester City travel to Liverpool to take on The Reds at Anfield in a crucial tie in the Premier League.

In the end it was the home side who got the bragging rights. Two sensational goals from Jordan Henderson and Philippe Coutinho proved enough for Liverpool to take all three points.

But it was not just bragging rights in the Premier League that were up for grabs, but also in the Toure household.

Incredibly, despite the long and illustrious careers both Kolo and Yaya Toure have been privileged to lead, the pair have never actually faced off against each other in their careers.

Kolo has played for Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool while Yaya has enjoyed spells at clubs such as Barcelona, Monaco and Olympiakos - but have never actually taken each other on

That changed when Kolo came on for Liverpool in the 82nd minute, the pair getting a few minutes to face off. They rarely got near each other in the game, but when they did they had a friendly little cuddle - as City went down to Liverpool.

Kolo Toure's Liverpool have now moved to 48 points in the league, just two points behind Manchester United in their hunt for Champions League football.
