Murray, Bolasie and more: Palace players react on Twitter to 3-1 victory

The Crystal Palace Eagle

Crystal Palace's players were understandably happy after their victory against West Ham United this weekend.

Crystal Palace won 3-1 away to West Ham United on Saturday with Alan Pardew’s resurgent Eagles climbing to 12th in the Premier League table as a result.

Glenn Murray had a match to remember, scoring twice before being sent off for a challenge on West Ham centre-back Winston Reid.

Murray opened the scoring four minutes before the interval and Scott Dann doubled Palace’s lead with 51 minutes on the clock.

Murray grabbed his second and Palace’s third with 27 minutes of normal-time remaining and although West Ham pulled one back through Enner Valencia it was too little too late.

After the match, a number of Palace players took to social media to express their delight at the victory, including Joe Ledley, Jason Puncheon, Yannick Bolasie and Murray himself.

The two-goal hero expressed his disappointment at being shown the red card but he added that the “main thing is the three points.”

Palace’s next match is away to Southampton on Tuesday and four consecutive away wins in the league would further prove just how far they have come under Pardew.
