Matt Le Tissier’s message to Southampton fans following defeat to West Bromwich Albion

Southampton suffered a 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion away from home in the Premier League on Saturday.

Matt Le Tissier has urged the Southampton fans to get behind the team amid the current trying times.

The Saints are struggling for form and for points in the Premier League at the moment and have lost their last two games.

Ronald Koeman’s side were expected by many to get the better of relegation-threatened West Bromwich Albion away from home on Saturday, but they failed to do so.

In fact, Southampton actually lost the match 1-0 at The Hawthorns, and suffered another blow in their hopes of finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season.

Southampton have failed to score in their last three league fixtures and won just once in the month of February.

Saints legend Le Tissier, though is confident that the team will bounce back and wants the fans to continue to have faith in the players.

The former England international forward has urged the Southampton supporters to cheer the players against Crystal Palace at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Tuesday.

Southampton are currently fifth in the Premier League table with 46 points from 27 matches, two points behind Arsenal, who are fourth and have a game in hand.
