Ex-Liverpool star Luis Suarez hits landmark, praised by Spanish media

The Barcelona forward scored his tenth goal for the Camp Nou side in victory over Granada and was praised for unselfish play.

Luis Suarez seems to be rekindling the sparkling form that made him such a hit at Liverpool, with the Uruguayan continuing to thrive at Barcelona.

Following his brace against Manchester City in midweek, the former Reds striker continued his hot streak in the Catalan club’s 3-1 victory over Granada yesterday.

Suarez played a decisive role in the opening goal, with his shot cleared by a Granada defender, only for Ivan Rakitic to score.

The South American maestro doubled Barcelona’s lead, making it 2-0 on 48 minutes with a neat finish, which was his tenth goal in the Blaugrana colours.

Finally, Suarez rounded off a good afternoon by unselfishly putting a goal on a plate for Lionel Messi.

Spanish newspaper Sport were vocal in their praise of Suarez, especially given that he could well have scored his second goal of the game but instead looked to set up the Argentinian.

After a slow start to life at Camp Nou, Suarez now seems to be an essential member of Luis Enrique’s side and is showing his best form for the Spanish outfit.
