Celtic trio react on Twitter to win v Aberdeen in Scottish Premiership

Gary Mackay-Steven, Anthony Stokes and Leigh Griffiths are overjoyed with Celtic’s 4-0 hammering of Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic returned to winning ways on Sunday when they got the better of Aberdeen 4-0 at home in the Scottish Premiership.

The Bhoys headed into the clash at Celtic Park on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan in Italy, which saw them knocked out of the Europa League at the round-of-32 stage.

Aberdeen are aiming for the Premiership title this season, but Celtic vanquished them with ease, scoring four goals without reply.

Jason Denayer headed the hosts in front in the 37th minute, and Leigh Griffiths doubled the advantage from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute.

Gary Mackay-Steven made it 3-0 just six minutes later, and Stefan Johansen wrapped up the points with Celtic’s fourth 10 minutes from time.

The win means that Celtic are now six points clear at the top of the Premiership table with 63 points from 26 matches.

Aberdeen remain second in the standings, but they have played a game more than Ronny Deila’s side.

Following the match, Celtic trio Mackay-Steven, Anthony Stokes and Griffiths took to social networking site Twitter to revel in the win.
