Aston Villa fans not happy with Tim Sherwood following defeat to Newcastle United

Tim Sherwood Press Conference 12/02/2014

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has yet to win a game in charge of Aston Villa, who went down 1-0 to Newcastle United on Saturday.

Aston Villa’s poor run of form continued on Saturday as they went down 1-0 to Newcastle United away from home in the Premier League.

The Villans headed into the clash at St. James’ Park on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Stoke City at Villa Park.

It was going to be tough to even pick up a point in Newcastle, but Villa did give a good account of themselves and tried their best to register a win.

However, Papiss Cisse’s goal in the 37th minute proved to be the difference between the two teams, as Villa remain in grave danger of suffering relegation from the Premier League at the end of the season.

Villa are currently second from bottom in the Premier League table with 22 points from 27 matches, level on points with 17th-placed Queens Park Rangers, who have a game in hand.

The Villa fans are understandably frustrated with the team’s current run of results, and they are not happy with manager Tim Sherwood.

The former Tottenham boss was appointed the Villa manager last month following the departure of Paul Lambert, but he has lost both his games in charge of the team.

Following the defeat to Newcastle on Saturday, Villa fans took to social networking site Twitter to have their say on Sherwood.
