As a child Tottenham Hotspur's star striker met David Beckham.
He may now be a free-scoring striker who has netted 24 goals for Tottenham Hotspur this season, but the Daily Mail has offered a glimpse into Harry Kane’s childhood, publishing pictures of the player in his younger days posing alongside David Beckham.
Kane was a pupil at Chingford Foundation School, where Beckham also went, and the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player posed with the Tottenham youngster at the opening of his academy back in 2005.
Kane was only 11 at the time, but 10 years later he has grown into one of the most prolific strikers in the Premier League, the player who Tottenham will be hoping can fire them to Capital One Cup victory against Chelsea on Sunday.
Tottenham have impressed under Mauricio Pochettino and despite crashing out of the Europa League last week they still have plenty to play for.
After their League Cup final they will turn their attentions back to the Premier League, where a top-four finish is still very much on the cards if they can go on a prolonged winning-run.
Kane will be vital between now and May, but it would have been interesting to know what he thought about his future back on that day a decade ago when he posed for a picture with a legend of the game.
