Liverpool and Manchester City will face each other at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.
It is biggest game in the league this weekend, and promises to be hugely entertaining and fiercely competitive.
Two of the players who are likely to start the encounter are midfielders Joe Allen and Fernandinho.
While Wales international Allen will feature in defensive midfield for Liverpool, Brazilian star Fernandinho will take up a similar position for City.
As the Opta Stats table below shows, the City midfielder is better than Allen is all departments, although one needs to remember that Fernandinho has played far more minutes than the Liverpool star this campaign.

Allen has not exactly been in great form since joining Liverpool from Swansea City in the summer of 2012, but in recent weeks he has established himself as an important player in Brendan Rodgers’s team.
The 24-year-old Welshman is a good player, but he will have to better the performance of Fernandinho on Sunday for Liverpool to win the Premier League encounter.
The former Shakhtar Donetsk star has established himself as a first-team regular under manager Manuel Pellegrini, and he will be a force in midfield for City.
